Kirsty – Lee Mears grew up in Coffs Harbour as a student of HPAC from the age of 4, completing her RAD ballet examinations up to Advanced 2. Kirsty moved to Melbourne in 2014 to begin her Diploma of Elite Dance Performance at Danceworld Studios and completed it at Transit Dance (2015), under the tutelage of Paul Malek, Daniel Jaber and Amy Hollingsworth, majoring in Contemporary Dance. During these years she performed in many events/productions around Melbourne and learned to successfully produce independent contemporary dance works, cultivating a love for independent artists and their creations.
Kirsty is a Diploma qualified Pilates Instructor and has a special interest in dance science and safe dance, wanting to offer her students the most efficient ways to develop their technique, derived from current dance science and research.
Kirsty also believes in nurturing a genuine love and respect for dance in her students and wants to empower them to be seekers of growth and learning, not only as dancers but as people.
